Huawei "Shark Dancer" was directed by Juriaan Booij for RSA Films and produced by Lisa Joseph and Matthew Binns, this branded documentary film was part of Huawei’s campaign exploring the sense of touch. Photographed by award-winning Director of Photography Sherman Johnson, the film features diver Cristina Zenato as she interacts with wild sharks off Grand Bahama Island. “Shark Dancer” has earned significant acclaim, winning the 2016 Cannes Lions Bronze Lion in Film Craft for Cinematography and the 2015 Berlin Ciclopes Film Festival Award for Best Cinematography.
TECHNICAL
Huawei "Shark Dancer" was filmed entirely with available light, utilizing a Red Dragon camera paired with Arri Ultra Prime lenses for above-water shots. The underwater sequences were captured using a Panasonic GH4 camera. This project was shot on location in the Bahamas.
